Franklin Media Associates works in conjunction with a collection of industry specialists who bring their own unique talents and experience to serve our clients needs. President Ron Franklin has extensive experience creating, marketing, and selling tools for media content creation. He has worked for several media industry leaders including Avid Technology, Sonic Solutions, Merging Technologies, TimeLine Vista, and AKAI.

Mr. Franklin holds a Masters degree in Music and spent many years teaching music and technology at the University level. He was a lecturer in technology at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles and held faculty positions at the University of Akron, Texas Tech University, and Midland College. He has written extensively on media technology for professional publications including MIX Magazine and Pro Sound News and is an active member of the Audio Engineering Society standards committee on digital file format interchange. He has been a panelist or speaker at numerous events held by the AES, Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), Hollywood Technical Audio Committee (HTAC) and other entertainment industry groups and forums.

Mr. Franklin's experience includes several years in Hollywood as a sound editor for Film and TV shows (Fraggle Rock and Zorro are among his credits). This allows him to bring the perspective of a Hollywood media professional to his work. He has traveled to film and post production facilities around the world and maintains an active roster of contacts in the entertainment and professional media industries. Ron keeps a hand in music through song writing and by performing locally in the San Diego area.
